There's a certain point when you know that you don't know. But you want to understand what's really going on inside your business. Without running this package and that package. And trying to make them talk to each other. When you're at that point where you want business software written by people like you - for people like you - then come talk to us. We have the answer. Now. It's called insight®.
Yes, this is software, but it's not just a program. It's the distillation of 14 years of deep study of the process of business with a strong emphasis on (1) how work gets done, (2) how information gets both communicated across the organization and (3) how it gets remembered for reuse. Our passion is the automation of routine tasks and the discovery of connections and trends that helps our users predict, manage and understand their operations. It's also an ever-evolving program where each feature and discovery leads to a new cycle of improvements and tools.
The simple answer is this is a complete business management environment that runs entirely on the internet. There's nothing to install1 and nothing to backup2. The modules include management of almost every aspect of your business from job scheduling to billing to analysis to accounting. Everything runs on one screen and connects to everything else.
The more complete answer is this a business management system that intuitively helps your people manage and connect vast amounts of critical business intelligence in a way that makes your company smarter, more efficient, and more profitable. Our methods — developed and refined for more than 13 years — are tested, effective ways to run high-tech operations where your staff works in multiple locations and timezones. It's a system that connects information automatically and lets smaller staff do the work of much larger pre-internet organizations.
The best answer is that it's all going to become clear when you see it for yourself3.
- The entire system runs in your web browser. More details are in the section “how does it work”.
- We take care of all that. Making backups every 60 minutes in multiple places so there's always a disaster recovery plan.
- Let's arrange a demonstration. One of the QMD staff can conduct a live presentation for your staff - tailored to your interests. We don't have a demonstration account on the website because you'd just get lost. There's a lot to see and a tour guide will be a lot more effective.
The scenario-based answer is that you open the system from your web browser — from absolutely anywhere on earth with an internet connection — and log in. From there, you have full access1 to all of your data and can do your work. You update jobs, file expenses, bill clients, send e-mails — all the normal management tasks of a work day — from the insight® environment. And everyone in your company has instantly available, up-to-date data that includes your changes. So you can work remotely or together and the information that defines your business is flowing freely.
The technical answer2 is we provide a complete infrastructure for data management for small companies3 that's based on open-source tools4. You can run the system as a delivered service where your data lives on servers we manage5 or as a private installation6.
- The system has a finely-grained privileges and access management structure so each user's capabilities are clearly defined. No one sees payroll data or adjusts invoices unless they're cleared to do so.
- We're trying to keep the website from being boring, but you're welcome to ask us for more details to whatever degree you can tolerate. ;)
- We're not sure what a small company means to you. For the sake of discussion, we think this system will scale well past 250 users with some small changes to deal with longer name lists. The remainder of the logic has no size dependencies at all.
- Currently we're writing in PHP and Javascript, talking to a PostgreSQL backend, and serving the content via Apache 2.
- Our entire infrastructure is now cloud-based and backed up every five minutes.
- Our standalone server is called insightaccelerator. It's an appliance that sites at your facility. We manage it for you with the same backup services as our own servers and keep it updated.
The best way to introduce you to insight® is via a demonstration. This is a large system and if we just throw you into a demo without a guide, you're going to be lost. Please fill out this form1, and we will set up a live demonstration2 you can view from your office. We'll show you around, answer your questions, and help you determine if this platform is right for your business3. We guarantee you will be amazed in the first five minutes of our presentation.
- Actually, to make a point, this form talks directly to insight®. When you submit your contact information, a contact record is created for you, and an event is linked to it to let our staff know to get in touch. This direct interaction between your public-facing website and your private management systems is one of many things our software does for you.
- We use WebEx to do live and interactive demonstrations of the system as well as to conduct training and provide technical support.
- Believe it or not, we don't try to sell this to everybody. We want to make sure it's a good fit for you. Changing business infrastructure is a monumental decision and we want you to be happy with the results. If we think it's not suitable for your business environment, we're going to tell you — not just take your money and time.
This is the public1 version of our blog. It's being served to you directly from insight® via an iframe2.
- insight® supports both public and internal blog postings. You can leverage the blog as an internal communications tool or an outward-facing portal with a single checkbox on a blog article.
- This is a simply implemented line of code on your public blog page. Inside the "box", everything you see is coming direct from our own implementation of insight® — being served live direct from the application.
QMD Accountworks is seeking a very special type of early-stage investor. This is a startup from the revenue sense, but not so much from the product sense. We have a proven application with a long history that works right now. We're seeking partnerships with investors who can supply not only capital for expansion, but also knowledge and guidance on how to scale our business in the Enterprise Management Software space.
Money is not our concern other than the desire to begin outsourcing programming and hiring more support staff. Our capital needs are relatively minimal due to the nature of SaaS and how we've implemented our technology. The entire service is cloud-based and we can "spin up" a new server in less than an hour.
We're in this business for the "long haul" and we're ready to start growing, but we want to be smart about it. Our paramount concern is that we never, ever sacrifice the quality of the user experience or our customer service. In fact, we need to acquire and train more staff to improve our service, but we understand that requires significant resources - primarily because this is a very large system and it takes considerable time to train personnel to be able to support our clients. For that reason, we're currently and intentionally restricting the growth of our client base. The partner/investor we're looking for has direct experience and/or connections to people who've taken startups from initial development through multiple investment rounds, and helped develop staff and infrastructure.
To sum up, this is incredibly good software that we believe can change the way business is done. We're serious and passionate about it , and we don't mind sharing it with the right partners. If this is of interest to you, please get in touch. We're ready to go.
